We need better tools to fight it
At Robeauté, we believe that to understand brain disease and how to effectively cure patients, we need to get closer, shrink to the size of a small group of neurons and move around safely.
To achieve that, we are building a tiny microrobot designed to navigate the intricate pathways of brain tissue to deliver tools and therapeutics to hard-to-reach areas of the brain. Dot, as we call our proprietary multi-purpose device, will perform advanced spatial biopsies and gather critical data from within. It will enable a new era of neuro-exploration and bespoke therapeutic action. Physicians will be able to observe, measure, and ultimately treat brain disease by delivering therapies locally, with unprecedented precision.

and Elevate the medical standard
Physicians are limited by stiff surgical tools that only move through the brain in a straight line, inhibiting pathology exploration and understanding. Therapeutically, treatment is almost exclusively highly toxic and delivered systemically through the blood stream, meaning that it has to traverse the body, reach the brain and cross the blood-brain-barrier in a sufficiently effective dose. It rarely works.

Propeller
Designed to be flexible and move through brain tissue with minimal damage
Steering unit
For non-linear 3D movement
Micro engine
Dot's beating heart. The world’s smallest micro engine that powers the device
Tracking unit
For precise location monitoring
INTERCHANGeABLE Cargo
Interchangeable extensions that specify the task at hand.
Dot.Biopsy
A smart biopsy device, aiming to provide multiple spatially anatomo-localised biopsies, which will nurture personalised treatment decisions and algorithms. Site specific, patient specific and pathology specific.
Dot.Drug
A flexible microdelivery system that will be able to carry and drop therapeutic cargo precisely where it’s needed.
Dot.Electrode
A new generation electrode designed to converse with the brain for smart electrode-based stimulation to treat symptoms such as Parkinson’s disease or treatment-resistant depression, among others.
MICROWIRE
Ultra-thin tether
infrastructure to transform neurosurgery

DIAGNOSE
Building a complete, patient-specific understanding of brain disease through 3D spatial sampling across multiple sites. Moving beyond linear biopsies, we capture the full picture needed for precise, informed decisions.

Treat
Delivering targeted therapies directly within brain tissue, moving beyond one-size-fits-all approaches. By bypassing the inefficiencies of systemic delivery, we enable truly personalized treatments and maximize therapeutic impact.

Monitor
Tracking response in real time for the duration of treatment, enabling continuous assessment and immediate adjustment of therapeutic strategies. This closed feedback loop guides surgical decisions and advances our understanding of brain disease.
dot in action
Robeauté’s platform is a suite of modular products built on proprietary technologies developed since 2017.

MOM
Unifies imaging, planning, and navigation in a single surgical console. In real-time communication with the microrobot, it converts data into insights for surgical decisions. Connected in real time to the microrobot, it turns intraoperative data into actionable insights.
CAP
Launcher for robot deployment and retrieval, enabling real-time sub-millimetric tracking and seamless communication between Dot and MOM.
DOT
Dot is a microrobotic device that navigates complex 3D trajectories to diagnose, treat, and monitor brain disease, carrying task-specific payloads tailored to each procedure.
medical-first
Roughly the size of a grain of rice, our microrobots are minimally invasive by design for moving non-linearly through the extracellular matrix – to go to multiple locations safely and can collect real-time site- and patient-specific data. To better understand, treat and ultimately save patients.
Foundational features of the microrobot have been established and validated with more than 50+ patents, alongside ongoing pre-clinical testing ahead of clinical trials.
Dot was built with insight and continuous feedback from 60+ neurospecialists and designed to integrate directly into current surgical processes.
